This will be my first competition in this style of pow
and therefore a competition with and for myself.
After, what I call, an intense trainingcycle of almost 10 weeks coming sunday is the big test. Different thoughts are crossing my mind. Will I be able to apply what I’ve learned the last couple of weeks? What effect will my deload have on me. How do I handle my nerves?
I’m about to figure this all out next week.

took it easy on me. The weights dropped.
I had less acessories (let’s say none). Only at the central training I joined @ilyscious
killer warm up set. Four rounds of stiff leg deadlifts, renegade rows, sit ups and straight legg dumble presses. During the first round I already knew what I missed the last couple of days. Is that the reason why I feel kinda tired and restless?
Looking into the restless part I’ve noticed that I got more questions from people who don’t understand what I do and why I do it. And when I explain it, on their request, they are very quick to condemn the fact that I “freely and unpaid” spend a lot of time in the gym, mastering a craft. And most of all doing something I love. The new year already had brought me some new things to review, to let go and to embrace. This goes for people and situations.
With that being said…let’s scroll to the central training ??
During this training we started earlier with the equipped part. The last 8 weeks my equipped training started after the raw training was done. SinceI am learning to get ONE with the suit even more this time we tried squats with only the bottom part of the suit on. After that I got in my suit at the half of every bench and deadlift serie. This is another new experience for me and I’m getting more and more excited for this meet.
As I told my coach the last couple of weeks felt heavy…..not (only) in a physical way but mental way. Most of all because I didnt knew what to aspect and still don’t know at times. I find it hard to let someone else drive and be in the passenger seat. I’m learning to trust the process and what I’m made of a little bit more. ?
The bench shirt fits me like a glove. ✔
For a second I thought that it wasn’t mine but a brand new one. My tailor already was a good friend :-). And I’m glad he had all the patience in the world to customize my shirt. All I have to do now is make it worth while and GO WITH THE FLOW.

And speaking about the bar….since this week we have got our own El
eiko competition bar. We have stored our new friend in the gym. Christmas came early this year ?
To make sure I learn how to handle the feeling of pain Wim thought it was a good idea to give a demonstration. As you can see in the video below.
